About

Greg setting up the crab suit

Here, at The Crab Guy, your online authority for all things crabby, we respect the rich tradition of the Chesapeake Bay and harbor a passionate commitment to the crabs, fish and all plant and wildlife in an around the area.

We are brought to you by The Crab Place, provider of fresh Maryland seafood, crab and various other products. The Crab Place matches our passionate commitment and we thought this blog would be a great opportunity for us to share with you our enthusiasm about all things crabby as well as other important information regarding the Chesapeake Bay, Maryland blue crabs, seafood and the general Maryland shore lifestyle.

Down at the Shore Cover

The Crab Place and CrabPlace.com were founded and started by Greg Cain in 1997, in Crisfield, Maryland – America’s seafood capital. Greg, along with current CrabPlace.com President Rebecca Gareis Bent, now sells and ships fresh Maryland crab caught daily by local watermen. The unique packing and delivery process has kept crabs, and now various types of fresh seafood and many other products, at their freshest from the dock, to your door and onto your table.

All of us here at The Crab Guy and CrabPlace.com have been crabbing since we could walk, and still enjoy pulling them in and teaching future generations. We also take great pleasure in serving up fresh seafood products to family and friends and sharing our passion for Chesapeake Bay foods and the shore lifestyle.
